Notes for Alfred G.C. Weaver and Patience Angeline Casteel (Casteal) Weaver
Alfred Green Chance Weaver was born March 6, 1845 in Tennessee and died March 12, 1912 in Clay, Arkansas. His father was Alfred S. Weaver and mother Emily (Little) Weaver.
He married Patience Angeline Casteel (or Casteal) in approximately 1866. Patience had been previously married to a Mr. Green Brueton, but no children are recorded from that marriage. Patience and Alfred had four children:
- Sarah Emily (1867 - 1956)
- Alfred (1874 - 1896)
- Nancy Jane (1869 - 1950)
- William Izear (1883 - 1962) [William is my Great Grandfather on Grandmother Lillian's side of the family.]
Patience Angeline was born July 27, 1843 in Shelbyville, Tennessee and died July 12, 1912 in Arkansas. Angeline may have been from Dutch Ancestry as Casteel is reportedly a surname of Dutch origin.
Alfred Green Chance Weaver is listed as a Union Soldier in the 5th Regiment, Tennessee Calvary.
